VICTORIA ROWLEY strives to re-invent the characteristics of commercial textiles.  Inspired by shapes from natural formations as well as textures, she uses her highly sophisticated technical skill to develop fabrics which represent a very special, even complex fusion between natural beauty and modernity.

Her works are intended to represent the structures of universal materials and patterns.  Identifying patterns in ecosystems, hand-rendered subjects are combined as well as transformed into strong correlations which form complex patterns and shapes.  Images of the natural world with abstract, also at times sexual subjects are featured in her work.  The enticing images are joined with innovative and unexpected textures.  Objets d’art together with artefacts of oriental origin inspire her greatly; the latest technique she has developed gives a historical appearance to her images.  The resulting effect is a powerful sense of experience, along with final works which emanate feelings of universal sensuality.
